With about two minutes before midnight on my end, thank you very much!  Smiley Had a little bit of a celebration with a friend of mine...not much, just off to a pub, drink a bit and chat.  Grin Was still great though...

As for me, I wasn't much of an RPer, Around the Regions and the Poke Grande Master Dome were the only I ever took part in.
can we all just pause for a minute and remember this

Yup, the good old days...even though I've never got around to fully understand the mechanics and I don't really remember how many battles I've actually had, I've always preferred a third party to be the referee and I had an acceptable roster.

Welcome back, Laszlo! One of these days I'm going to have to bug you for all the intel you've got on writing English theses.

I miss Kenta's old RPGs. They were ingenious.

I think I can vaguely remember Terak saying that the Dome was originally Kenta's RPG somewhere on it's first post, right? Or am I mistaken?

Thank you very much. Smiley And sure thing, feel free to...although it's been a year since I've completed mine, but hopefully I haven't forgotten too much. Grin But I've become a real follower of my topic ever since. Grin

Apologies, don't mean to bump the topic, but since I started it, I just can't not get this out of my system. So, the joys of online dating...if there were any. I've never tried it before and refused to thinking that that would be the low point in my otherwise non-existent carrier. Well, guess what, I've changed my mind and thought 'what the heck? can't be any worse than this'. An oh how wrong I was... Internet dating sites are supposed to help you find a partner one way or another. But make even these sites money dependant with their premium and VIP packages is just outrageous. And I absolutely refuse to pay for such things.

Okay, I get it that everyone has to make a living somehow, but come on! I wouldn't really have any problems if the free stuff weren't so hilariously limited. I mean: you can poke someone for free, indicating that you're interested, but the person will only see that you poked them if they have a premium subscription. Heck, I couldn't even check a person's (who checked mine first) profile because it kept redirecting me to the subscription page. And you can't even write them a message unless you have credits and how can you get those? Go premium...or VIP, depends on the site.

So mine main gripe: why have such sites when you can't even do anything that's for free? If it's supposed to try and help you find a partner, at least should have features that are free and actually useful. And the best part: when I read why I should subscribe, it said 'because you have better chances of getting to know someone'. Basically at this point, I almost Hulk-ed out and thought of writing a nice little letter to the operators and owners of the page to stick their premium package up where the sun doesn't shine. Or to put that message down on my introduction space the very least. Grin

Aaaand that is all from me. Really sorry for the rant...not feeling any better but at least I got it out. And now I wish everyone a good night.

Because it's primarily a business, and the intention is to make money, not help you find a mate, see.

Yeah, I kinda figured that. I'm usually not that naive, this just got me a bit worked up. I'd be really interested to know just how many people actually decided to subscribe. Because if they keep advertising, then it must be worthed for them.

Yeah, sadly...well, eventually I calmed down, thought about it and concluded that if I can't beat'em, I might as well join'em...well at least for a month and let's see what happens.
