Persuasive Speech Topic Help

See that's the brilliance of a persuasive paper. You might not believe in the argument yourself, but the fun is in getting other people to change their own opinion.

I don't have the confidence for that, and it's pretty much the whole class.....

While that's great advice and he should endeavor to do it, you also need to consider the fact that people can't change in huge steps, and if he's normally shy he wouldn't be able to pull this off with the right amount of bravado and charisma that is needed. If he does it shyly and hesitantly he looks like a creep, if he does it confidently and suavely it would be completely awesome, most would laugh, and some may even take him up on it.

Tell everyone that abortion is bad. Then, halfway through, be like "Oh, wait, this is the wrong paper", and start a fresh speech about how abortion is great. Either that, or write the speech about how persuasive speeches aren't very persuasive.

Here we have two awesome ideas. Three if you count CM's as well.

You don't need the paper, just be like "Oh wait, it's the wrong speech" or something, you can memorize it if it makes you feel better (just be careful not to sound too robotic), as to the nerves, just don't look at the camera.

Heh, I would if I was good at making things up and having that 'funny' moment. My 'moment' seems to come when I do something seriously retarded and start laughing at myself...

Err, also I might have to present tomorrow, unless there isn't enough time and I'm not called but that's a low chance. I seem to get picked semi-first a lot because I'm like the quiet guy and the teacher wants me to work on not being so quiet.
