.:.:The plot:.:.

Many Millennium ago, when the world of Surion was but a newborn, it was home to Six Noble Races, the Dragons, the Demons, the Elves, the Fairies, the Humans, and finally the divine, Immortal Ceres. The Ceres were thought to be the race chosen by god. Immortality was their blessing, and they were the guardians of the world. Thus, there was peace. Yet the Ceres felt a sense of loneliness, as both friends and enemies fell to the hand of time. Because of their Immortality, the Ceres were forbidden to bear children, for they feared upsetting the balance of the world. So the Ceres lived their lonely lives, watching the passing of time. This was the way of the world…

However, destiny sought a different path. It was a renowned oracle who foresaw the end of the Ceres. It was unfathomable, but the word spread quickly across the lands. The Ceres, who had never before worried of death, became fearful. To them, when a thousand years felt like only one, they could not wait for their destiny. Some Ceres sought to continue their race through children, though forbidden by Ceres law, and took lovers from the other Races. The children born from those couplings were the last gift to the world from the Immortals. Fate had been set, and the Prophecy come to fruition. With no explanation, the Ceres disappeared.

This was how the world of Surion became home to Five Noble Races. The Dragons, the Demons, The Elves, the Fairies, and the Humans. Though they had disappeared, the bloodline continued. The Children of the Ceres were called the Ceres Eves, and were considered royalty within the remaining Five Races of the world, for their lifespan had greatly increased. They were the last remaining legacy of the Ceres.

Millennia passed and the Ceres bloodline all but diluted entirely. A pure blooded Ceres Eve was rare and hard to come by.  Knowledge of the Ceres had faded into the history books, many only believed the sixth race to have been but myth.

This is where our story begins.

Demon Lord Ziehe, a Ceres Eve, lay upon his death bed, his ten hundred years of life drawing to an end. Upon the last day of his life a young maiden approached his bedside. She spoke with such devastating fear that he was stilled to listen. The maiden, a clairvoyant, told the dying king of her vision, and then hastily fled from the room. Ziehe was chilled by her words, and called upon his only son and heir, the naïve Demon Prince, Kaisa. Ziehe left one final task to his son, and passed away.

“You must seek the reason why the Ceres were lost... before we are the next to perish”

.:.:Rules:.:.

( 1 ) This is an easy one: All Rules of Aisenfield apply.

( 2 ) This is a literate role-play, so lets keep posts two-three paragraphs Minimum.

( 3 ) ESSENTIAL RULE: No God Moding. You all know what that means. In Addition to usual God moding methods, I don’t want to see any massive mix-breeding of the races. No Dragon/Demon/Elf/fairy’s please. Can you imagine what that would look like?

( 4 ) The world of Surion is set in a roughly medieval world, with Nations and Kingdoms and Army’s or sword wielding, armor wearing warriors. Let’s keep it that way. I don’t want to see any modern things, unless there’s a very good reason for it.

( 5 ) Summarize the plot in two words at the top of your sign up to show you read the rules.

( 6 ) Maximum of two characters per person please.

( 7 ) Keep content clean, there’s no set maturity level. Watch your language, and relationships in the role-play are fine, but anything ‘intimate’ should be taken into a PM.

( 8 ) I’m not the best at running a role-play, and keeping the story going as the creator is something I find a bit difficult, so I want to try something a little different. Anyone who joins can PM me suggestions on how the plot should go, and I’ll take all of them into consideration (As long as they’re reasonable) and try to work them in.

.:.:Important things to Know:.:.

[EDIT: Now Includes Common personality/Social behavior]

Ceres Eve: A title given to those with Ceres blood. It’s rare, but there is at least a couple Ceres Eve’s in every Race. The primary trait of a Ceres Eve is longevity.

The Five Noble Races: These are the primary five Races in the world of Surion. There are other species of course, plant and animal and such, but the Five Noble ones are gifted with free will, and intelligence, and have many nations and kingdoms spread across the land.

The Dragons: The Dragons are very wise creatures, and have the gift of Tongues; they can speak and understand every language of the world. They are shape shifters, though they only have two forms. Human and Dragon. They are the longest lived out of the five Races. Their physical features range greatly, but all have the tell-tale line of scales that run down their spines no matter what form they’re in.

Dragons are the longest living races, and though they usually Live in small, scattered Tribes and Houses, they are very formal people. They address the other Races with respect and their ability to speak any language makes them great Diplomats. When in their Dragon form, they often become less calm, and are driven by instict. They can't talk in their Dragon form. Because of their patience, they are able to deal with Demons the easiest.

The Demons: Demons are very physically strong, the fastest of the other races, and they’re gifted with heightened senses of sight, hearing and smell. They commonly fight with claws or fangs, and gave up magic. They have the third longest life span. Common Physical traits are slightly pointed ears and they all have a set of horns, ranging in size and shape depending on the demon.

Demons are most commonly known for their often brutish behavior. They usually don't treat others with respect, and its well known that a demon can hold a grudge for a very long time. Violence out of Revenge is normal. Demons do not get along well with Elves, and do not take lightly to a Fairies prank. They get along well with the Dragons.

The Elves: Gifted with Great magic and can create and use magical artifacts. Talented long distance fighters, with keen eyes and ears. They have the second longest life span. The physical feature every elf shares are long pointed ears, and are often very tall and slender.

Elves have a lot of traditions, and a tendency to be conceited. They value Magical teaching, and have many academies of the magical arts spread throughout their kingdoms. Elves and Demons do not typically get along, because of Demon's lack of respect for the Elven culture.

The Fairies: They can control the elements at will, and are gifted with flight. The fairies can change their size, and can be as small as a human hand, though they can get no bigger then the average human. They have the fourth longest lifespan. They have pointed ears and wings.

Fairies are notoriously known for their tricks and pranks. They're a very playful race, and its most common for them to be happy and always celebrating a festival of something. They usually get along well with the other Races.

The Humans:  Gifted with incredible potential. The Humans can do almost anything, they can learn magic, though not as naturally as the Elves, they can learn to be dangerous warriors, though not as naturally as the demons, though they can never learn to fly like a fairy or shape shift like a dragon. They have the shortest lifespan of the five Races. No unique traits and their appearances range greatly.

Humans personalities are as wide-ranged as their abilities and weaknesses.

.:.:My Character(s):.:.

Name: Kaisa Naessi
Age: 57 (Still a teenager, for a Demon)
Race: Demon
Occupation: Heir to the Throne of the Demon Nation, Egae.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Kaisa is a slender, tall adolescent male demon. His skin is a sandy, tan hue, that darker on his back, and the back of his arms and legs. Wild, waist-length black hair falls down his back in a tight braid bound in golden metal-work. He has high set, thin eyebrows that curve up at a sharp angle. His eyes are also angled upwards and surprisingly narrow, irises or garnet red glowing beneath heavy black lashes. Pointed ears peek out through his hair, tipped with golden caps and pierced by many rings. From beneath his bangs grow two ivory colored horns, only around an inch in length.

Adorning his slender figure is a black silk, sleeveless robe that loosely covers his chest, being synched at his waist with a gold sash. Draped around his neck is a red sash. His upper arms are wrapped in bandages, and his wrists are adorned heavily with jewelry and golden bangles. His hands are bear and host dangerous looking claws.  He wears a pair of simple black slacks to cover his legs, the slacks pulled tight at his ankles and fastened by metal greaves, which are overlapped by a pair of sharp-toed sabbatons.

Personality:  Kaisa is a haughty, spoiled brat. He’s got a short temper, and hates following other people’s orders. He dislikes people that waste his time, and is hard to get along with. Quick to resolve his problems with force, he lacks any good leadership traits, and has no desire to take his late fathers title as lord. He would much rather lounge around and read through the libraries collections then have to worry about if people have enough food, or if a war is going to break out.

However, because of his temper, he doesn’t have the ability to ignore the sufferings of those right in front of him. If someone is being bullied and he witnesses it, he would not waste a second before immediately knocking the said bully out. This has gotten him in a lot of trouble when he was younger.

Bio: Kaisa is the Heir to the Demon Nation of Egae, and has been raised as royalty since he was young. However, even though he is of royal blood it did not change the Demon custom for all young males from joining their army as a coming of age. His participation in the army led to him owning a brutal reputation. His years there were during one of Egae’s most famous wars with a neighboring Elvin nation, known as the Hanma wars. Kaisa was a vicious and strong warrior, and personally slaughtered many Elvin and human soldiers. Rumors spread that his eyes were naturally black, but turned red like the blood he witnessed being spilt again and again by his own hands.

His participation in the Hanma wars only lasted for three Years. During one of the peak struggles, Kaisa's arms were severely wounded, and his father withdrew him from the army immediately, fearing for his only son’s life. Kaisa was confined to the castle for the rest of the War; thankfully it only lasted a few more years before Lord Ziehe had come to a compromise with the Elvin Nation. After the war, Kaisa was allowed to leave and travel the lands once more, but he was often met with fear from the stories of his brutality and lack of mercy during the war times.

Strengths: As a Demon, Kaisa possesses a lot of natural strength and speed, and his claws are extremely sharp and can slice through granite in seconds. He has an excellent sense of hearing and smell, and can pick of faint changes in a persons hormones, which help him read their moods. He is also a good fighter, though very violent towards his enemies. Because of the Ceres Eve bloodline, he has a longer life-span then most Demons.

Weaknesses: Kaisa is not a very good strategist, and often rushes into his battles without thinking. Even though he is naturally strong, his arms were badly injured during the Hanma war and since then he hasn’t been able to use them as efficiently, and thus avoids fighting with his hands as much as possible, even though he’s best with them. If a lot of pressure is applied to scar tissue he hides under the bandages, it puts him in a devastating amount of pain.

Possessions: He possesses a silver lance that was a gift of peace from the Elvin Kingdom to his fathers, and a short bladed sword sheathed at his side. Tucked into his robe is a necklace with a ruby stone.

Other:
1: He’s surprisingly sensitive about the size of his horns, since they’re growing a lot slower then most ‘teenage’ demons, and will become very grouchy if anyone points out their size. This slow growth is a side affect of his longer lifespan as a Ceres Eve, since a Demons horns grow through out their life.
2: Since his father’s passing, Kaisa is actually supposed to be given the Royal title as Lord, however due to his stubbornness about the subject; his father’s Advisors are currently running the Nation for him.

2nd Character

Name: Mazarin Calias
Age: 21
Race: Half-Elf
Occupation: Cleric
Gender: Female
Appearance: Mazarin is a pretty young woman, with long deep-blue hair that falls to the middle of her back, her face framed by short bangs. She bears a beautiful complexion, her skin soft with a natural peach tone.  Mazarin has a very kind and sensual face, with almond shaped black eyes and surprisingly soft features considering her elven blood. She has the sort of smile that can calm those around her.

Donning her body is a formal gown of the Church of Mahjor, a well known Human city. The Clothing consists of a long white under-gown with a pleated skirt that reaches to her ankles. The sleeves of the dress are wrist-length and flare out in a kimono-style. Worn on top of the white dress is a blue cover that cinches the waist and covers from her throat down to her waist. A lighter blue sash is sewn onto the middle of the front and back of the over coat, which hangs down to her knees and bears the symbol of the Mahjor church. Finishing her outfit are a pair a blue silk gloves that bind her arms to her wrists, and a pair of dark blue boots with heels.

Personality: Mazarin is a kind person to a point where she could be considered angelic. She is a devout Cleric and believes that no matter your social status, you are deserving of help. She tells the truth and disapproves deception, keeps her word and scolds those who do not, helps those in need and fights against injustice. When the guilty go unpunished it causes her anger, yet she still believes that everyone is worthy of forgiveness.

She loves young children and innocents, and can be shy around men because of her upbringing. Mazarin does not know what it feels like to fall in love, but if she ever did, she would give all of her heart to them.

Bio:  Born in the human city of Mahjor, Mazarin was the child of a wealthy human merchant and a beautiful yet very frail elf. Her Elven mother came from an important family in another nation, and fell in love with Mazarin’s father during one of his business trips there. Her mother was almost always ill and because of this she was very weak, and her parents disapproved of her love. Yet their love was more important than her family’s opinion, so she eloped with the human merchant and ran away with him to his country. Their love resulted in the birth of Mazarin, which her mother barely survived through.

When Mazarin was very young, her mother fell extremely ill. She had become so ill that Mazarin’s father called back to the Elven nation for help. They took Mazarin’s mother away, where she would be surrounded by healers 24/7 and could be properly cared for. That was the last day she ever saw her mother.

Having lost his love Mazarin’s father became depressed, seeing his lover in the face of his growing daughter. He couldn’t bear raising his child any longer, so sent Mazarin to a convent to learn the way of Clergy.  This is where Mazarin grew up. She missed her family, but came to understand that being with her father only caused him pain. Yet the way of the Church was often hypocritical, using the religious doctrines to preach its own justice. When Mazarin turned 18 she left the church of Mahjor, declaring that she would go on a pilgrimage to find her own path while helping those who truly need it.

Strengths: After spending many used in the Church learning the ways of a Cleric, Mazarin is a very talented healer. Her elven blood gives her a deeper knowledge of the magic behind the prayer. Her talents lie in healing, defensive spells, and supportive magic.

Weaknesses: Even though she carries a staff with her as a weapon, Mazarin is a terrible fighter. She does not wish to harm her opponents, and could not deal any lethal blows, at most knocking her enemy down in order to get away.  If she is left on her own in a battle, she would be in grave danger.

Possessions: Mazarin possesses one weapon, a cross-staff. The staff is a pure white pole with a blue stone fixed two feet away from the top, where a smaller piece of wood runs horizontally, forming a cross. She also carries with her a black leather journal, bound shut by a strip of cloth.

Other:
1:  Mazarin loves to hear the stories of others, and keeps a book to write them down. She hopes to fill it completely during her pilgrimage.

2: Though she is from two rich families, neither of them possessed the Ceres bloodline.

I have a character concept already planned, so all I need is to put it together in a bio sometime tomorrow. Would it be possible to reserve a spot in the meantime?

Ceres Secrecy

Name: Raye Lihten

Age: 188

Race: Elf

Occupation: Wandering Druid.

Gender: Male.

Appearance: Raye’s height is at a decent 5'9” and is a standard 161 lbs. His skin is a light wheat color, while his hair is indigo and reaches up to the center of his back in a ponytail. His eyes are dark and yellow. He always dresses in dark colours. In a long cleric style coat over a simple black shirt, trousers, and weighty steel capped boots. He constantly wears his coat, despite of the weather.

Lofty and lithe, regardless of his dreadful stance Raye still manages to have a royal sort of bearing. His sloping eyes are deep yellow. Raye’ s features are jagged and angular, his elongated ears tapering into two discrete points and upper jaw jutting onward slightly to hold a appealing set of teeth.  Raye gears his usual costume entirely in black; Raye is never seen without his cleric-style coat.

As for tattoos Raye has a symbol of fate between his shoulder blades. Deep cavernous claw marks on back. He's ashamed of his scars and does his greatest to conceal them. He also had a diminutive gold disk pendent engraved with the symbol of fate and had a piercing on his labret, left upper ear.

Personality:  Enthusiastic to the point of impulsiveness, Raye has a big mouth. His words overrun his thoughts, and his heart runs away from his head. Intellectually, he is clever, bright, and a sharp elf, yet on occasion he will throw all logic to the wind and follow his hunches. Fortunately for him, he is strong on intuition and invariably all works out well. In a confrontation, Raye has a tendency to misjudge the situation, and he is not too adept at extricating himself from difficulties. Interestingly, no matter what surprises fate may have in store, whatever obscurities or hardships Raye may encounter along the road, He will always ultimately land on his feet. He will be a success wherever he may go, regardless of his chosen duties.

Raye might devote himself to a great cause or work, and if so, he will see it through to the end. This talent work two ways, as he can be equally faithful to a bad cause and equally successful in it. Romance for Raye is never simple, with one crazy state of mind following another, creating a series of highs and lows in his love life. Raye had made mistakes to fall in love and commit himself to a serious relationship when he was fairly young, Which ended up distraous for him to the point where he may never be married at all. Truthfully, Raye may be happier alone. In any partnership Raye will first and foremost seek an intellectual rapport, because he gets as much of a charge from mental stimulation as he does from the physical kind.

Bio: Raye had run away from his home in the noble land of Oir, a place of elves renowned for spell-casting. After he left he grew a deep passion of guarding nature from civilized imposition. In his guarding of forests and natural habitats, he was well-known to storytellers, producing influential stories of him and his protecting deeds. Raye was a valiant and strapping druid, and personally has a deep hate for any race that shows no compassion to the wild.  Despite his reputation he continues to wander and shield his moralities.

He had traveled for what seemed forever when he met a demon named Annihil. At first glance, Raye had a deep hatred for demons, because of their reckless behavior. At an unfortunate turn of events both individuals became quick enemies but at the time of their gathering, they were captured by human bandits. Which forced them to work together to save their own skins. They were successful and at the end of their escape they became best friends, and now travel together for no specific purpose. An opposite relationship, yet a deep understanding and respect for one another.

Strengths: Raye is very agile and quick though he is not a physical fighter. He instead has a variety of magic spells that inflict damage. He can else hear very well.

Weaknesses: Raye lacks any skill as a physical fighter. So he will most likely be bested in terms of a fight without magic. His scars when touched can put him through excruciating pain.

Possessions: Uses a wooden long staff that he uses to cast spells and a dagger. Five spells Raye uses fluently:

Moon Blaze: Burns the enemy with intense blue flames of Arcane magic.

Star Flames: A spell that causes blue fireballs to rain from the sky momentarily, under the class of arcane magic.

Storm: A divine magic spell that creates a violent storm in the enemy’s area producing high winds to knock the opponent back. Raye must control the force to maintain the spell.

Insect Cloud: This spell lets Raye swarm his enemy with killer wasps and is also part of his divine magic.

Wrath of Nature: A spell the causes the surrounding earth to produce a mass of plant life and vines to constrict the enemy. Under divine magic.

Other:
1: He sometime feels very depressed that he had left his home, and misses the elf lifestyle back home, regretting the fact that he’d abandon his dwelling.
2: He never has any clue where he is at. Or the fact that he was captured with Annihil because of his wanted status.

Name: Annihilātus Eal (Or Annihil for short)

Age: 184

Race: Demon

Occupation: Wandering Theif.

Gender:Male

Appearance:  A tall 6'2” and muscular 180 lbs. With short jet black hair that is naturally messy. He suits extremely light clothes outfitted with many pockets, making it handy for stashing stolen goods. His eyes are crimson and he has a scar on his left cheek. Over his head is a dark green hood. His torso covered by a brown long-sleeved top, with a belt enveloping the top shut, as well as some leather wraps the cover his palms, and on his wrists, slender wristbands that swathe the sleeve of his arm.
His horns curve like ram horns, and are an ashy gray in color. On his feet are leather boots that are durable through weather and travel, while his pants are simple and gray.

Personality: Annihil is clever, social, and a witty demon and he has the very qualities that he will look for in his relationships with others. Being the gregarious sort, he normally has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances that provide him with the mental and social stimulation that is so important to the Annihil’s well-being. But the natural curiosity and desire for new experiences that drives him mean that, all too often, serious long-term relationships simply don't provide enough excitement to maintain his interest. Annihil revels in the thrill of the new; consequently, short-term love affairs tend to suit him best.

Unfortunately, Annihil is unlikely to find a satisfactory lover, for he is not a stable personality. Though he can be passionate, his critical sense and his clear-sightedness combine to cool off his ardor all too quickly. Luckily his sense of humor saves him from disaster. Mischievous rascals particularly through his earlier years, he delights in stirring things up and then standing back to watch the sparks fly. If there's the slightest hint of danger, intrigue, or downright outrageous behavior attached, so much the better.
Annihil is a fun and loving demon who is always cheerful and energetic. Also very clever, give a Annihil a boring book to read and he'll turn it into a Musical. Better yet, he'll invite everyone to see it free!

Annihil is very good at problem-solving. Annihil knows how to listen closely and work out solutions at the same time. And because of Annihil’s curiosity, he usually has a great thirst for knowledge. Still he has few scruples - he could be unreasonable sometimes, and he has the ability to persuade himself and everyone around him to believe that they are doing the right things. Some might say Annihil is self-centered, some might say he is an opportunistic; some might say he is guileful, but Annihil couldn't care less - because he is also indifferent.

Bio: Annihil was born and raised in a poor household. Because of this reason had to learn how to steal effectively early. Despite this, Annihil sought to participate in the army, and he did so, doing his part in the battles that came to be called the Hanma wars. Annihil was swift, stealth, and respected soldier, killing his enemies rapidly, giving them no time to react after killing them in a ninja-type style. Many called him the assassin of secrecy because of his conditions in combat.

After the war, he returned home to the demon nation of Egae and at a snap went back to his old habits. He continued his criminal deeds constantly, that he became wanted for a high price. Many sought to capture him, but none succeeded. He then came with his own terms to leave the nation, things were getting tricky sticking around his homeland, capture would be inevitable if he stayed. Besides, leaving would mean tons of new opportunities to snatch up goods. And so his decision was made up and the demon departed. Following his disappearance in Egae he met a Fairy by the name of Raye, at first glance, he wondered what he could take from him, but after both of them were captured he had no other choice but to form a pair with the druid. Subsequent to their escape they became fast friends, and Annihil now valued Raye in another light, as his best friend and partner.  Thus, both of them agreed to travel together. They were complete opposites, a bad-influenced thief and a good-hearted druid, yet they had each other’s back.

Strengths: He is very quick, stealthy, and deadly. Plus, his horns and claws help with his tedious maneuvers. As well as a enhanced sight he may use effectively in the dark, like a night vision.

Weaknesses: Annihil can be tricked easily by a feminine seduction. His hearing and smelling isn’t as good as it should be, which is at a below-average in stipulations of a demon.

Possessions:

1. Twin daggers he likes to call Gloomy and Happy. His twin daggers are basically designed for chopping and stabbing purposes as a weapon of war, but it still can be used in other household or daily tasks, such as: building or digging a furrow, to cut meat and vegetables, to cut trees etc. It functions as a cross between a knife and an axe.
Blades are 38 cm long,. Blades are deflected at an angle of 20°, with a thick spine and a single sharp cutting edge; this causes the end section of the blade to strike square on, greatly increasing chopping effectiveness.

2. Slayer(Longbow): Because of his longbow’s narrow limbs and rounded cross-section is high in compressive strength, light weight and elasticity. Made of Yew, his narrow longbow has a high draw-weight.

Other:

1. Despite his thievery nature, he will completely refuse to steal from the poor.

2. Although, he grew up very popular and continued his esteem through his war years. He considers Raye to be his only true friend.

...Can ickle Luci-chan reserve a spot please?

Also - about the Ceres Eve - whole "two per race" thing is so that if we truly wanted to, we could make it so everyone's character was a Ceres Eve, though it would make for a boring RP. I'd like a Ceres Eve spot, simply as I want to take something people won't choose that much and edit them.

Ceres Dead

Name: Sirius McKinnon
Age: 63
Race: Elf
Occupation: Heir to the Elven throne
Gender: Male
Appearance: Sirius has fiery red hair that falls down to just above his shoulders. His hair has a shaggy appearance to it and is impossible to tame. It also has streaks of copper through it, as though his hair was sun kissed. Sirius's eyes are a molten gold color that shines like the stars in a moonless night sky.  He is of average weight and height, so nothing special there. Sirius also has lightly tanned skin and supple muscles.

He likes to wear simple, yet elegant, robes made out of a strong silk.  They are usually a combination of reds, yellows, oranges, and whites, but sometimes there is some blue in the mix.  His robes make it seem as though he is wearing fire, as the colors shift in different lighting.  Sirius' travel boots are a charcoal black, while his casual shoes are made of light deer skin dyed a fiery white.  Around his neck is a gold-chain necklace with a diamond dog hanging down from the chain. He also has two silver-gold bracelets with a diamond star in the middle of them. Small onyxes only seen by those who are truly looking for them surround the stars.

Personality: Kind, polite, respectful, Sirius is someone who is very likable and seems almost perfect. He always smiles, gives others advice, and has a great sense of humor. Although, one wonders what lurks beneath that seemingly imperfect temperament. Sirius should have doubts, worries, some slight imperfection, right? Only close friends can see through his false cheerfulness to see that he only puts it on so that others didn't have to carry his share of worries. Those close friends always seem to put distance between themselves and him, thinking that he was deceiving them. Sirius would never deceive someone unless it needs to be done.

Point of fact is that Sirius doesn't have any real friends any more. He wouldn't open up to anyone about his past, always clamming up when that subject was brought up. Sirius can be trusted with secrets; despite how many secrets he keeps for himself. He can also read other people's emotions pretty well and can decide whether or not someone would be considered trouble. All Sirius does is watch their posture and see what their eyes are telling him.

Bio: As a noble, he was expected to be kind and courteous to guests and others of nobility.  He had to learn what to say to certain people, memorize the titles of all the lords and ladies, how to eat "properly," and even how to give a proper greeting.  Thankfully, his parents had refrained from spoiling him.  Sirius had to actually work to get things, which suited him just fine.  Still, life was boring, tedious, and lonely for him.

When he was in his fifties, Sirius met a lone Fairy named Camille.  The two became fast friends and things started to look up for him.  It was on Sirius' 56th birthday that Camille was charged with being the young heir's guardian.  Since then, it wasn't an odd sight to see the two together practically everywhere they went.

Still, Sirius had noticed a while ago that he wasn't aging like other Elves.  In fact, he was much slower.  Others hadn't noticed, but Sirius and his parents could.  Sirius still looked a decade younger than other Elves, but he supposed that they had chalked it down to stunted growth.

Strengths: Although mediocre with bows by Elven standards, Sirius has found that he is much better suited to swords.  He prefers long swords and rapiers, since they are lighter than other swords (short swords make him feel awkward and out of balance).  Sirius also has a natural affinity toward magic, like most Elves.  He is also an agile fighter, since he had taken dance and gymnastics to keep himself in shape (well, it was really to relieve boredom).

Weaknesses: Sometimes he can get a little too determined and winds up hurting himself, others, or both.  Sirius is not a long-range fighter and misses the target half of the time.  As far as his magic goes, he is stronger in the fire-based magics.  As a result, if Sirius is wet, then he cannot use much of his magic.

Possessions: Sirius has a rapier located on his left hip.  Its handle is a beautiful white gold with intricate designs subtly weaving into the handle.  Elven words are also woven into the blade, marking it as Sirius' and no one else's weapon.

Other: ~He has an Irish accent, of course.
~Sirius can cook and draw exceptionally well.

~*~*~*

Name: Camille Nuit
Age: 59
Race: Fairy
Occupation: Sirius' Guardian
Gender: Male
Appearance: Camille has vibrant white hair that falls down to his chin, framing his face perfectly.  His hair also has a shaggy appearance to it, since his father usually cuts it himself.  Camille’s eyes are a breathtakingly burnish silver that sparkles of their own accord whenever he feels a strong emotion.  He is around five foot eight and weighs just under the average of his height.  Camille has a slim appearance, but he is very agile and quick, coupling very well with his slight height issue.  His skin is also the average for a typical Frenchman.

He wears a gray tunic with a small, black fox sewn right below the dip of the collar in the front of the tunic.  His pants are made of cotton and are black, reaching just below his ankles.  Camille also wears typical Elven footwear, but it is white instead of brown.  Around his neck, he wears a silver chain necklace with a beautiful opal in the shape of a fox dangling off the chain.

His wings are as delicate as a butterfly's wings.  They are translucent and are primarily white with black lines weaving an intricate pattern.  His wings resemble that of a butterfly, at least in pattern and shape.

Personality: Camille is shy and quiet most of the time, but he does know when he needs to get over his shyness and step up to the plate.  He also feels emotions very strongly, making him a very easy person to read.  He gets guilty pretty easily and always apologizes whenever he makes a mistake.  Camille does not have a lot of friends, mainly because of his shyness.

Despite his negatives, Camille is very loyal, faithful, and has a strong dedication to his friends.  He is also a very kind and sweet person despite his shyness.  Camille loves life and tries his best to live it to the fullest, although whenever someone threatens that life he will fight to protect it.  Despite his personality, Camille can become as hard as a veteran warrior when something precious is being threatened.

Bio: Cam was born into the House of Nuit, a place where Fairies and others could learn how to wield any type of sword.  Technically, he was not of a noble class, although most of the nobility view his House as such.  His father had refused the luxury they offered, feeling far more comfortable in their simple home than in some manor.  Here, Cam had learned how to wield a dagger.

Eventually, he had to leave his home and explore the world, if only to learn from experience.  While he was in the Elven lands, Cam came across Sirius, an Elf who seemed as lonely as he had been feeling since leaving home.  The two became excellent friends and had a strong bond between them.  After a while, Cam became Sirius' guardian, someone who would protect him from whatever danger happened to come his way.

Strengths: Cam has learned to be observant at all times to his surroundings.  He also has the typical strengths and weaknesses of the average fairy.

Weaknesses: He isn't the best guardian, since he's still young by Fairy standards.  Although strong with daggers and incredibly weak with long-range weapons, Cam can sometimes get distracted easily.  Aside from that, he is very shy and usually lets Sirius do the talking.

Possessions: (This is his main weapon) Antique Rituel-The dagger’s sheath is made of pure ash with ancient ruins snaking all the way around the sheath.  Its hilt is made of pure silver with an opal on the pommel, seeming to have the essence of pure light inside.  Antique Rituel’s blade is a plain white that has a look of age to it, although it still cuts deep.

(Secondary weapon) Sauvegarder Innocent-This sword has a pine sheath with a lily pattern snaking all around it.  The hilt is pure pewter with a piece of obsidian on the pommel, seeming as if to have pure darkness inside the obsidian.  Sauvegarder Innocent’s blade is so pure a white that it has a bluish tint to it.

Other: ~Cam likes to use his magic to make plants grow instead of using it offensively.
~He doesn't mind if people call him Cam or Camille, but Sirius always calls him Cam.

((Mm...haven't used these two in a long time.  Anyway, Sirius is going to be my only Ceres Eve and I hope I got this right. Dx))

Due to the abundance of characters in this RPG, I may just stick with this character to keep the roles balanced. If things happen to slow down, then I may introduce another.

However, I'm doubtful. I implemented technology into my character's design, but in a generally harmless way that shouldn't really clash with the medieval setting. Let me know if I'm pushing boundaries, Zarean, and I'll see what I can do to change things around.

Ceres Mystery (Two words? x_x)

Name: Larall Du’Mei
Age: 259 (Approaching middle-ages)
Race: Elf
Occupation: Traveling magician
Gender: Male
Appearance: A tall, moon-skinned elf possessing very little physique, crowned with wavy golden-blond hair combed back. Two small, carefully managed dark spots of moustache hover above either corner of his mouth. His face is dominated by pointy features: a pointed nose, pointed cheekbones, pointed ears and a pointed chin. His sky blue eyes are sunken and sarcastic.

The major piece of Larall’s attire is a red ringleader's jacket with flared wrist cuffs, its twin tail ends trailing behind his waist. Accompanying this is a pair of pearly slacks and elegant ebony boots. A set of blue spectacles rest above his forehead, ready to be pulled down for use should he need them in spite of his incredible Elvin vision. His fingers are ornamented with all different sorts of rings.

Personality: A covetous fraudster who cheats and tricks other people to boost his own profits. His biggest interest is obtaining; the only thing he likes better than a rare possession is a good deal. His second largest interest is freedom. Events of the world have little meaning to Larall, and as long as people aren’t after him or his valuables, he is perfectly content to ignore them. He loves his independence and wouldn’t dream of sharing it with anyone else.

He enjoys wit, but only to an extent. Ultimately, he would rather be around the naïve and simple-minded people who he can con, unlike the sagely dragons and elves who are wise to his tactics. He is a prudently cautious elf who chooses his battles, and is not above retreating when circumstances are looking unfriendly.

Bio: Larall has lived long enough to assume the frame of mind that the world is a dull and difficult place that people take far too seriously. He grew up with many of the standard advantages of elves, including schooling in the various fields of magic. He didn’t have perfect role models, however; his father was lazy and his mother was a weak-willed worrier, too uncertain to effectively face her husband or her son. Thus, Larall went through his early years with a childish, arrogant contempt for others, assuming that everyone was blemished and unreliable.

Seeking control, he left his Elvin homeland and lived with a friend in Fairy territory instead. There he became a designer’s apprentice and learned new ways to refine his Elvin knowledge of magical artifacts. Along with this, he also picked up the more mischievous nature that the Fairies had, as opposed to the seriousness of his home race. After he eventually left to stake out his own living, he made use of his special talent for magic by becoming a wandering magician that performed in Elvin and Human lands. He still carried a disdain for both races, which he satisfied by becoming a trickster. Upon realizing how effective a con artist he was, he cultivated a great interest in collecting people’s valuable belongings.

These days, Larall simply laughs at his old youthful desire to act against “stupid people”, and simply enjoys traveling in solitude. He continues to trick people for their belongings, an obsession he has not yet felt inclined to quit, but generally only for the money.

Strengths: Larall is a very talented practitioner of magic due to his constant reliance on the art. He is cunning in how he uses it, trying subtle ways to deceive any dangers before ever considering fighting directly. He is also skilled in magical gadgetry, with his proudest achievement being his personal flying machine, the Mia Cyri (Elvin for “Sky House”).

Weaknesses: Larall is a coward. He can smooth talk his way out of numerous situations, but as soon as he feels his life is in real danger, he can panic. This is for a reason: he is by no means a physical fighter. His body is every bit as frail as it looks, and one solid impact will crush him like an ant.

Possessions:

1. His flying machine. The Mia Cyri is Larall’s most cherished possession, as well his living quarters. It’s a three-roomed, magically powered vehicle that was built by the elf over many decades. It will always remain a work in progress, however, as he continually enjoys finding new ways to expand and enhance its design.

(A/N: Note that the Mia Cyri is neither fast nor dangerous. It has no weapons and generally moves at the speed of a controlled air balloon.)

2. He has a pair of spectacles he designed for during his magical engineering. He says they “cut out the distractions”.

3. While he carries no weapon, some of his rings are magically imbued to take a bit of the strain off of his magical spells.

Other:

1. While leery around dragons and older elves, he absolutely hates and avoids demons, because of their savage revenge on those who play with their trust. He generally likes fairies, however, and won’t cheat with them because of his past time with them.

2. A common trick Larall likes to play is to purchase people’s belongings with magically-conjured counterfeit money, which disappears several hours later. The amount of fake currency he includes in his payment all depends on how gullible he thinks the victim is, and how alert the authorities are. He then completes this hoax by casting a charm on the person that prevents them from recalling their swindler.

Terak, Accepted, though I'd like a little clearer discription of the Mia Cyri ( A magical hot air balloon house, makes me think of Disney's new movie, UP XD ) over PM Please.

(Well, looks like I've finally found a chance to use my fairy character.)

Ceres Mystery?

Name: Snowflower “Snow” Solstice
Age:  46
Race:  Fairy Ceres Eve (sixteenth)
Occupation:  Embodiment of Winter
Gender:  Female
Appearance:  Snowflower has soft-looking light blue hair with thick, spiky bangs that covers her eyes slightly, and comes down just below the shoulders, spiking outwards near her chin, then again at the ends.  Her long, pointy ears are flattened down and almost hidden by her thick hair, and are only recognizable by the pointy tips sticky out at an almost horizontal angle.  Her side bangs spike in the same pattern, but frame her face instead.  Her hair may look soft and somewhat fluffy, but touching it carelessly could result in some bad cuts, since it can be as sharp as a knife when she feels alert.  Snow’s eyes are an icy bluish-white that reflects whatever is seen in them, as clear as glass.  She stands about five foot two, and weighs about 100 pounds.  Snow has a slender appearance, but hides it beneath her clothing, so it is rather hard to tell at first.  Her skin complexion is white, and looks like she could almost be wearing makeup.

She wears a blue wool coat with white rabbit fur around the cuffs, bottom, latch buttons, and flayed-out collar.  She wears a skirt that looks like a white daisy with blue tips, but is actually made of cotton, and the petal-like strips are sewn together.  For footwear, she has blue boots that come up just below her knees with white rabbit fur cuff, similar to her coat.  She also has blue wind goggles nestled atop her head, and almost aren’t noticeable at first glance, because her bangs hide most of their vision.

Her wings almost look like transparent dragonfly wings, but a closer inspection will reveal somewhat pointy tips, a lack of veins, and resemble flower petals more than insect wings, hence her name.  While they look like flower petals, they are actually nothing of the sort, and are made completely out of ice.  If something happens to them that they melt or partially break, she can re-freeze them if she has enough strength.  At her current age, she doesn't have enough power to completley re-freeze a dismembered wing, though.  They have a light blue, almost white, color tint within them, and starts to darken out directly at the wing tip.  They overlap slightly, and her lower wings are slightly smaller than her upper wings.

Personality:  Snow is a calm and relaxed fairy, almost the exact opposite of most of her species.  While most fairies are known prank players, she does not prefer to mess around in the lives of other creatures.  She can seem to be a bit slow, but she actually just goes at her own tempo.  When she’s ready she’ll make her move.  She can seem a bit cold, and does not seem to know the limit when asking questions, not knowing when she makes a mistake.  Being a winter fairy, Snow tends to stay away from others of her kind, and can’t tolerate being the center of attention.

Even though she is rather slow on the spot, she has a quick mind and isn’t afraid to risk her life for those who befriend her.  Even though Snow is a fairy, she is a fairy of the winter season, and doesn’t hold the same attachment to life as her relatives, but nonetheless knows its importance from personal experiences.  She can be harsh to those who get on her nerves, but she can have a gentle soul, showing kindness and appreciation out of nowhere.  Just because she can be cold, doesn’t mean that she doesn’t appreciate what she has. She just has trouble expressing it.

Bio:  Snow was born into the Winter Solstice House, a small group of noble winter fairies that house and protects the Embodiment of Winter.  Even though she was born of a noble house, she was never comfortable living there.  Since winter fairies were creatures that preferred to be alone, meetings were uncomfortable.  The only use she had found for staying was to control her winter fairy abilities.  According to the fairies that lived within the house, the Embodiment of Winter was a fairy who had a significantly longer life span and could use more than one winter element, and control the power of winter at will, and that there was a similar fairy for the other three seasons as well.  She was never told or ever suspected that she was a Ceres Eve, and still doesn’t know.

When she finally came of age she decided to travel around, mainly to get out of her home, and to see what the world had to offer.  Even though she traveled through other lands, she skirted around the chance of actually making friends.  Because of her wariness, she never gained a true friend, and resigned to traveling alone.  For the past few months she has been training her wing strength, and looking for purpose or adventure in order to make herself useful.

Strengths:  Snow can manipulate anything that is physically cold, but usually just uses ice, snow, and cold wind.  If her fights get physical, then she tends to transform her hands into claws of ice, and make both her and claws wings hard enough to withstand attacks by normal human weapons.  She is at her best in harsh wind and winter conditions.  She is more energetic during the winter season, and can use her powers to the fullest extent.  Since winter fairies are made to be hardy creatures, she has extreme speed and agility, even in the harsh winds.  As an Embodiment, she represents her season well with her harsh tongue but somewhat gentle demeanor.

Weaknesses:  Snow doesn’t fully know the responsibilities of being the Embodiment of Winter as well, and has no idea what she is supposed to do in order to represent her title.  She tends to push her limits, and doesn’t know when to stop.  Her power to control ice is limited by the weight of the ice she is carrying, including her claws.  If they become too heavy, then she can’t lift them.  Like others in her species, she has a good defense against physical attacks, but is rather vulnerable to magic.  Even though she has great confidence in cold situations, she is absolutely terrified of fire, which is typical of all winter creatures.  When confronted even with the mere thought of fire, she freaks out and breaks down her cold personality front.

Possessions:
~ Latch Button Charms: the fluffy buttons on her coat are actually anti-heating charms, and keep her at a controlled temperature under normal conditions
~ Wind Goggles: Allow her to make her way through harsh winds that would make sight difficult in.

Other:
~Snow prefers to use ice as her offense, then the snow and wind as her defense.
~She hates being called by her full first name.
~She has a fondness for sweets, especially lollipops. She is never seen without one.
