Welcome to the Talkshows area, for roleplaying the most informative (or downright amusing) 'interviews' of RPG characters. In case you're wondering what this place is, reread the very first sentence of this thread. Yes, the FIRST one. Not the second, or the third, or even this one. Anyway...

This is, simply put, a forum where you and others can act out mock 'talk shows'. The idea is that you or your main character is interviewing one (or more) roleplaying characters on random subjects and asking questions, having potentially amusing or disasterous results. It's simple, really, but not entirely. There are three different kinds of ways to go about these talk shows, and you're welcome to choose any method.

Solo - You/main character are questioning another one of your characters or a popular game/anime/etc character. This involves no one else and no one's permission, and they can be short or long as you'd like. In any case, I'd recommend doing the whole thing in your topic post, unless you have an intention to do a 'sequel'.

Solo w/ Permission - You/main character are questioning another member's roleplaying character. While no one else needs to post along with you, you MUST ask for permission from the character's creator before using them here. Also, it is recommended that you have more than a basic understanding of the character, despite how random and out-of-character these shows can (and will?) get. Again, the whole bit is recommended to be in your topic post, unless you're doing a sequel of sorts.

Joint Talk - You/main character are questioning one or more members' roleplaying characters. Basically, you post up the thread with your intro, pose the first question, and whoever else is there responds, and you essentially go back and forth. Because you don't know how the other member(s) will have their character(s) react, it can make for long, interesting sessions. It's advised that no outsiders comment on the amusement until after it is done; this should be shown by the original topic creator and assistants all posting some sort of message in their last post signifying that they're finished. If you do a sequel for these, make a new thread and link the first one into the topic post.

Now, as with all things - amusing or not - there are rules involved, but not many.

1. Permission
As I've stressed in the second format, if you're using another person's character, you must get their permission first before even starting to write up the interview.

2. Double Posting
In the Solo and Solo w/ Permission formats, you are allowed to double post ONLY in the event that you are doing a 'sequel' for that specific interview. Other than that, single posts only.

3. Cursing
Because no one character has the exact same cursing tendency, cursing is allowed, but must be censored if it is beyond the general words (damn and hell, for example).

4. Out Of Character
As I've said, these can get very random and out of character. Therefore, you're allowed to be as OOC as you like, so long as it's still connectable with the character's personality.

5. Violence / Romance
Perhaps you want to have a little blood shed in your interview? Anything from kiddie violence antics to minor cuts is acceptable in all threads, but anything such as actual combat, gore and the like must have an appropriate rating in the title. Likewise, hugging and cheek-pecking is acceptable in the threads, but anything sexually graphic needs a rating. These aren't quite roleplays, but they're still stories in a sense, so rate correctly.

6. Have Fun!
You're basically writing a story, so have fun with it.
