12 was actually really fun, although I didn't play much of it. I have a really small attention span; I tend to stop playing games as soon as I hit something that I can't beat in 2-3 tries.
FF12 I stopped playing when I entered a desert full of flying monsters. You can never hit the damn things.

I just started playing FF12. You might not have noticed, but I'm a huge fan of the Ivalice games (especially FFTA and FFTA2). So far, I'm enjoying the vaguely SD3-esque battle system and the abundance of thong-wearing pigmen, resulting in a delightful plentitude of bare Seeq ass. It's a pretty nicely designed world, in terms of both aesthetics and culture.

Now, the other FF I'm playing, is FFLegend 3, for the black-'n'-white Game Boy. Classic. You can play as pretty much any monster in the game, which is pretty cool for a game made in 1993. If you can find it, pick it up. o _o:<

I think I've played 12, whichever one Vaan is in lol. I stopped playing that though cause I didn't go back to some little fat guy when I destroyed the giant turtle thing. I crossed an entire desert, got to a palace and kept getting owned by that giant bird that shoots fire or something. I only found out what to do when my friend told me but I was too peeved at that time to do anything. I'll play it again soon though, cause although it confused me cause I never paid attention to the plot, I enjoyed it. ^_^

Haha, Garuda destroyed me, too. A combination of cheap-ass Mist Quickenings and Vossler's Telekinesis won it for me. I didn't know about the make-Garuda-less-impossible berries until way later. T_T

My friend said that Tactics Advance was pretty fun. I'll have to get it. I'm replaying Crystal Chronicles right now; I started a new game with 8 characters and I'm replaying every level until I can't get any more artifacts for each character before moving on to the next level and repeating that step. It's actually pretty fun. I'm in my second year and I can K.O. a goblin guard in 2 hits with a Yuke while my Selkie can do it in one hit.

Alright to make this a good FF thread I have to throw this out there:
What do you think the chances are that they do actually make a FF7 remake, and if they ever do should they tweak with the original story at all or just leave the imperfections?

For me I think that they will, why else torture the fans at E3 with that sweet opening trailer and merely say it was only to test the PS3's graphics and whatnot? The fans want it, for the majority, and you know what they say: The Customer Is Always Right.

X_x Is there a website that could explain Final Fantasy because I have NEVER played the game. I'd like to give it a chance since I heard it was a good game but first I need to know what it is about so I can decide to get it or not.

I BEAT THE FREAKING BIRD<3

I had no idea what Quickenings were though until I read a walkthrough and started buying them xD Now I used them for most bosses lol.

I didn't get that Devils sword or whatever you get for beating the first Devil Wall, I beat the second one, beat Belias after a hell of a lot of tries and running back into the desert to train, beat Vossler and if there was a boss after him I beat that one too, that Lastra (I think) is back in my team and I have a question, is it a boy or a girl? I swear it talks like a girl and looks like a girl but they call it a boy <_<

I'm going into the Henne mines or something now. ^_^

Ya FFXII is a good Game but it is rather short in my opinion, and I also didn't like the Quickenings (or Mist Knacks) system; to me it was just to weird and rather ineffective at times, I can remember several times that they pretty much did nothing.

Once I get school and stuff in check I might start to replay it, As I did FFX not to long ago

I hear you on that, I've been following a walkthrough during certain times and I'm up to the Elder Wyrm, it annihilate's me every time -.- The walkthrough says if I use Quickenings it will not only deal HUGE damage to the boss, but kill the two Treant's as well. I did a chain of 12 Quickenings and it left the Treant's unscathed, and did incredibly minimal damage to the boss itself. =\

I don't mind when games are short, granted if they are TOO short I feel cheated but if they drag on and on then I get frustrated that I'm never going to finish it.

Edit: I just read a different walkthrough and it says that if you go a different way, you can skip the Elder Wyrm fight but still get to the mountain. Perhaps I'll just do that because he's too freaking powerful for me right now. -.-

Lol I tried to fight him a couple times but he's too strong. I'll come back to him later in the roleplay.

I'm at the Shrine of Miriam now, and I have to level up to fight the second boss in there, the Esper I think it is.

I really feel like throwing this out there, because I just noticed it a couple of days ago.

Has anyone ever noticed the fatty amount of symbolism in the scene where Dyne falls backwards into a cliff after fighting Barret?

1. Dyne says: "My hands are too stained to hold Marlene anymore."
-Here, he means that he's sinned too much to hold something so innocent and pure.

2. Dyne says: "I'm going to destroy everything!"
-I'll get to this in a second.

3. Dyne walks over to the cliff and stand with his arms out and legs together. On his right (your left) are two crosses.
-This is symbolism of Jesus' crucifixion on Calvary. So if Dyne had been on a cross, he would have been on the left side of the cross in the middle which would have been Jesus' cross. Dyne would have been the murderer (or is it thief?) on Jesus' left. The man on Jesus' right received salvation.

4. He falls backwards off the cliff into the ravine/canyon/gorge.
-To me this is symbolism of a decent to hell.

5. The view rises to the horizon with the light shining from the light.
-Light shining from the right symbolizes life which I believe means that Dyne still had a chance.

So in a nutshell, Dyne sacrificed himself to save the world from himself, because he would have destroyed the world and everyone in it if he had stayed alive or so he thinks, but he still had a chance to redeem himself and make himself pure by helping Cloud and friends.

What do you think?
