SUSPECT ALIBIS:

DT - DT claims she was in the sleeping quarters trying to enter other people's dreams.

Crimson Curse - Crimson Curse claims he was in the control room trying to fly the spaceship to the nearest go-kart track.

Doru - Doru claims he was in the kitchen eating a sandwich.

DB - DB claims he was in the library searching through the various books for the necronomicon.

Terak - Terak claims he was in the training room beating up the punching bag because it owed him money.

CM - CM claims he was in the cafeteria eating brownies.

Weirdo - Weirdo claims he was in the kitchen baking brownies that mysteriously went missing.

Tyren -  Tyren claims he was in the bathroom taking a relaxing yet manly bubble bath.

Hashi - Hashi was in the observation deck because everywhere else was taken.

WEAPONS:

Mace -

Laser Gun - OW THE LASER GUN IS HOT! D: Someone must've fired it recently.

Pipe - The pipe wishes it was back in the Mushroom Kingdom helping out Mario and Luigi, but it's clean.

Rope - The rope is ropey. Nothing suspicious.

Space Rock -The space rock is clean, it hasn't been touched.

Lightsaber - The Lightsaber is cold, it hasn't been used recently.

LOCATIONS:

The Dance Studio: We can get down and funky in the dance studio if someone moves that DEAD FREAKIN' BODY. D:

The Control Room - The screen on the control room has blue screen'd and a paper saying "Crimson Curse was totally not here" is taped to the chair. But nothing else of note.

The Holoshed - The Holoshed is empty and off.

The Kitchen - The kitchen smells of brownies and there's brownie ingredients everywhere. Sadly, there are no brownies left, but nothing overall suspicious.

The Observation Deck -

The Library - There are books strewn everywhere in the library, but nothing else of note.

The Bathroom -   The bathroom smells like super manly lavender bubble bath.

The Cafeteria - Mmm, the cafeteria smells like brownies.

The Sleeping Quarters - The beds are disturbed and DT's 'dream entering' machine is warm, but nothing suspicious.

The Infirmary - The infirmary's clean; nothing suspect here.

The Training Room - The training room is fairly clean, but the punching bag is pretty beat up. When asked what happened, the punching bag said he walked into a door.

DEAD BODY EXAMINATION RESULTS

I believe we need a new game we can all get into around here and this idea just randomly popped into my head. It's not perfect but I believe it will be fun. The rules just make it look complicated, btw, it's actually fairly simple.

Rules: Each member may only ask one question each round.

Rounds last either as long as it takes to cover all three investigative areas (Weapon, Location, and Suspects) or until the host (IE, me) decides to post with updates about the evidence being questioned.

During each round, a member may only ask one question and may not ask the same category question as a previous poster from the same round.

For example, if a round starts and someone asks about the candlestick, another poster in the same round cannot ask about the knife.

It's vital to check this page after every round as all of the clues and whatnot from the investigation will be posted here after each round to avoid having the scroll through pages of questioning.

Each round every member will be allowed to guess whodunit. The guess is the same as Clue (It was (blank) in the (blank) with the (blank)) However, five incorrect guesses will have serious consequences and that player’s game will be over. If all willing participants fail to guess the murderer or if the murderer is out of the game, the game is over.

During each GAME, not round, each member is allowed to ask me to examine the body and I will return with one observation about the body. This is simply an entertaining throw in because my response may be totally useless, obvious or semi-informative. What I respond with depends on my mood. =P However, keep in mind that I will never lie about the examination.

The murderer, weapon and location are all completely randomly picked before each game starts. I keep the information in a document on my computer that is created before the game is posted.

Pay special attention to inconsistencies with suspects stories; these can prove to be key.

Weapons, suspects and locations will be crossed off when I believe you’ve negated enough doubt for them. What this means depends on the stories I create.

You may only question the suspects listed below and not the Detective. Despite the Detective's good sense of timing, he is never set as the murderer. You may ask to question him just to hear him reply with a snarky remark, though. :P

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

I answer for the member since they don't know who actually did what and thus can't give any clue as to whether or not they're innocent or guilty. Also, I can't be sure that the particular member will post here and answer anyway. If a member would like to play their character for a bit, they can for fun, but any information they seemingly give will be seen as false or just ignored since they don't know who actually did it.

Terak claims he was in the bathroom when the mirror shattered in his face. According to him; the mirror shattered due to being unable to reflect so much awesome. Terak cut his hand and got blood all over the glass around the time of the murder and was being patched up by Tyren before the Power went out.

The Hallway was freshly vacuumed before the incident, making a trail of foot prints visible leading to one of the rooms, but nothing else is in sight.

You're only allowed to question the suspects which are listed in topic post. Despite the Detective's impeccable timing, he will never be the murderer in question.

I guess, for fun, you can question him to get a stupid response like the one above, but he won't budge on any information. He's a lazy bastard. :D

Detective Privateeye comes back from examining the body. He is complaining about how he got blood on his coat while doing the examination.

DT claims she was on the roof trying to see if she can hit all of the windshields of the cars in the parking lot with golf balls. She also boasts that she hit the window of the orphanage next door.

Weirdo claims he was sitting peacefully in a chair the entire time reading a book about books. The Detective noticed he smelled like beef. Before DT could make a "Beefcake" joke, Weirdo admitted he stole the sword from a decorative suit of armor by the walkway and couldn't resist trying it out on the meat in the kitchen. He washed it off after he was done, though, so he could put it back where it belongs. He says he was putting it back in the suit when the Power went out.

The Bathroom is covered in broken glass and blood. The Blood Belongs to Terak. No Dead body in sight nor are there any other clues.

The detective examines the body. He comes back with nothing more to say than "Damn, so many years on the force and I still hate dead bodies. Oh well, at least there's plenty of room in there to examine the body from different angles."

The guess itself is wrong. I can't give tell you which things are wrong about it, because then everyone would just make guesses to widdle down the clues instead of trying to figure things out themselves. :P You must pay attention to the clues I have given you all, Weirdo-san.

And CM wasn't on the suspect list. I can add him, but he won't be the murderer this game since he wasn't included at the start.

DT: I had to remove the other 6 bathrooms for storage.

......Okay guys, I'm not gonna BS you. I had all the info for this game written down in my notebook and now I can't find the info. I have my notebook, but I must've torn out the page and thrown it out or something on accident....I remember who the killer was and what the murder weapon was, but I don't remember the alibis nor do I remember the murder scene. So, I'm going to have to come up with new alibis and murder scene for the remaining suspects and locations. I don't believe this will affect the game play, I just thought it'd be fair to tell you guys.

How you can clean effectively in darkness is beyond me, but I decided what the hell and killed her. How? I told her there were crumbs on the roof and that she had to clean them up, being all maidly. So I followed her up to the roof, did some epic sword moves like this.

Hey, this game would be pretty fun, I guess. Now, I haven't read all through the seven pages, but I guess this topic can be an antidote for lack of activity, if we agree about that problem still being prevelent (sp?). There are a few of us that visit the boards quite frequently, I guess. Of course, all this is possible only if it would seem favorable and doable to DT, but hey, this is me taking a shot. What do you think?

Only reason I stopped doing it was because of the dip in activity made it nearly impossible to uphold a rule or two for this game, but if you think we can rework it, I'm all for it.  :)

I guess there are four to five of us, who are visiting (almost) everyday, excluding you. If everyone would like to, I guess we can give this a try, right? And since you are also all too willing, DT, this can sure work.

Well, if I changed it, the roster would be me, you and DB. Not much variety. The case would be fairly simple then. Thus, for the sake of variety, everything shall stay the same except for the changes that will be changing to make it the same. Did I explain it clearer or should I needlessly complicate it more to clear things up?

Also, as long as there's a host and at least a couple of players, the game should be able to work. Hopefully we'll get more people to join in though. I may change the rules to better fit less players.

I have the case written out, but I'll have to solidify the details of the murder tomorrow.
